Thanks for stopping by our little piece of cyber space! I love having a place to share little glimpses of our life with family and friends. Be sure to leave a comment to let me know you were here!

ThanksgivingBreak

Thank you to my friend, Jayme, for helping me find a solution to my photo uploading problem. Now I can finally show off pictures of our Thanksgiving! And hopefully get back to posting on a regular basis. :)

...Blogger still won't let me add pictures.  It says I have reached my storage limit.  I honestly don't know what I'm going to do about that.  For today, at least, it means there will be no pictures to go along with this post.  :(

We had a fantastic weekend having little man's pappy with us to celebrate Thanksgiving.  We played and ate and went shopping and to the Parade of Lights and explored a new store that has plenty to keep the whole family occupied (we're talking a Ferris Wheel, animals, fish tank, guns...everything!)

Now we need to get back into the swing of "regular" life.  We are all pretty exhausted after our fun-filled holiday.  Little man even fell asleep in the hallway while throwing a fit yesterday.

Blogger won't let me load pictures, which I find very mean.  Until I can get that sorted out....just know that we had a lovely Thanksgiving and that little man is having lots of fun playing with his pappy.  :)

22.11.12

We made a turkey using little man's hand print and I wanted to have him hold it while I took his picture.  Then I could use the picture to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving...but he wouldn't hold the sign still.  It's okay, I got a cute video instead.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Little man has inherited a container full of toy cars that belonged to his pappy and his daddy.  They have small parts and I've kept them hidden in a closet until we felt little man was old enough to be trusted with them.

The other day while his auntie was here, little man ran to his bedroom.  After a few moments we heard him shouting, "a car!  A truck!  A car!"  Then he came running out with one of the little cars I'd been hiding.  I'm not sure how, but he opened the cupboard and could see the cars pushed back in a corner.  So we got them out and played for a little while.  :)

What a fun legacy for my little man.  And tonight his pappy will be coming into town, so he'll be able to share in the joy his old toys have brought to his grandson.  I can't wait!

There are days when we just need to do something fun.  And when the weather is crummy, we are so glad that little man's auntie comes to visit.  The other day when we needed to be rescued?  She swooped in and gave us a dance party! (I have a video of her and little man doing ballet to the Nutcracker but blogger is mean and won't let me post it....just know that it happened and was great fun!)

Thanks sis!  You're the best!

Remember this from last week?

Well, it turned into this:

and Mama got so tired of the mess that she threw it all away.  Now we'll have to find some new (hopefully less messy!) toys.

Do you know the best way to create works of art?  My son seems to think the secret is to work on them naked!

The other day he ran away from me after his bath and demanded that I open his crayon container.  So I let him draw in the nude for a few minutes.  Such a free spirit!

15.11.12

Little man, his auntie, and I visited a fun store called Blickenstaff's. It's like a magical wonderland and little man had a blast.

If you are ever in the area, you should check it out!  They even have candy that I normally have to beg my family from overseas to ship to me. Hurrah!

Isn't it great when something as simple as a plastic container and cotton balls can keep your baby entertained?

13.11.12

The other day my little man complained about wearing his shirt.  He tugged and it and cried until I finally agreed to just let him take it off.   He enjoyed his shirt much more on his head.

He was being so silly the whole night.  When his daddy got out a big light to try and find the back of my earring, little man followed the light around and laughed.  He's like a cat! (although cats don't really laugh...)

12.11.12

We had our first big winter storm over the weekend.  It began snowing Friday morning...

...and the snow didn't stop until Saturday morning.

As you already know, we aren't big winter people.  But I had to admit that the scene Saturday morning was breathtaking.

Little man, on the other hand, still isn't impressed.

Today I found my little man making some very lovely art....with a pen...on our wall...

Bless his heart.  He has Mr. Clean's Magic Eraser to thank for the fact he's not grounded for life!!!

While I was scrubbing the wall, little man kept pointing to his art and saying "uh uh uh!"  Yes, son, it would have been nice if you'd told yourself that BEFORE you made the drawing!!!  Oh, his toddler years are going to keep me on my toes.

My baby is so skinny (we took him to the doctor the other day and he's only in the 10th percentile for weight and height!!!) that sometimes his pants fall down.  The other day, his daddy took advantage of that to give him a new look.

Introducing little gangsta baby:

I love that kid.  And his dad.  :)

My sweet little man still loves spending time outside.  I'm so grateful that the weather has been good enough for us to enjoy the outdoors without freezing.

And I love the sights we can see right outside our house!

My happy baby, of course, being the best sight of all.  :)

I've come across a problem.  Remember how I made some fun peanut butter play dough for my baby?  He realized quickly that this play dough was delicious.  I got it out for him to play with the other day and instead of playing, he began eating it...like an apple.  Now what?!
