Happy Birthday to my hubby...the best daddy our little man could ask for!

28.6.12

Did I mention that our little guy has been helping me unpack?

Phew, things have been crazy here!  Now we are moved into our new place.  Not settled yet...we still have boxes stacked everywhere and things to organize...but we're here and safe!

Our first night, my family came to help us unload the trailer.  After bringing everything inside and eating some dinner, hubby took out his beloved electric guitar and played a bit.  Our little man is such a music lover and dances to any beat he can find, so he had a blast!

I know, I should be packing.  But Ie just HAD to share these two cute videos of our little guy.  He's so much fun!

Video 1:  Dancing in the truck.

Video 2: Trying to whistle like daddy.

I forgot to tell everyone about Father's Day!  I was so excited that little man has started scribbling, so I had him make his daddy a card.

I love how it turned out, and I told my hubby that he should probably treasure it always.  It's only the second piece of art our son has ever produced!

It is so great having hubby back!  We are very busy enjoying the time together as well as getting ready for our move.

While relaxing outside the other day, little man started doing some really funny things.  I took a video and I just had to share.

Hubby is coming home!  We are so excited to have him back.  He has been gone a long time.  (and I could use some help packing, wink, wink!)  Because we are moving soon and having a happy family reunion, my posting over the next few weeks might be a little sporadic.  Please bear with me!

P.S. I have a photographer in the making.  My baby boy took these photos at church the other day....

Things we will miss when we move:

- Playing with the birthday buddy

-Having a playground in the backyard

-Watching the fishies at the pediatrician's office

Along with living near Grams, having a Carousel within walking distance, and all our other friends, of course!!!

11.6.12

My little man absolutely loves being outside.  When I open the front door for any reason, he is off!  The other day he laughed as he crawled back and forth on the pavement...in the rain.

It was just a light mist, and I think if anything it helped to make his experience more sensory, more enjoyable.

8.6.12

Yesterday little man and I took a road trip and visited some friends.  We met up with them in Jackson, Wyoming and had a fun day!  I'm so glad that my little guy was such a trooper despite spending so much time in the car.  It was a nice escape, and so great to see friends!

7.6.12

We are getting ready to move soon which means lots of cleaning, organizing, and packing.  Little man has been very "helpful" with the housework.

6.6.12

Over the weekend, we got to go ride a carousel with some friends!

Before we got on the ride, we had a picnic lunch.  As we ate, my little man stared at the carousel.  While we waited our turn to get on, he pointed with enthusiasm.

I thought for sure that he would love the ride, he showed so much excitement beforehand.  I tried to climb up behind him on the horse but the ride began before I could get up.  So I stood next to him and held him around the waist.  Oh boy, was he upset!  He just started crying and grabbing at me.  So I had to take him off the horse and find a bench to sit on.  Once he was safely settled into my lap, baby boy went back to smiling and pointing at the horses.  Funny kid!

At the store the other day, my little guy kept pointing to a stack of watermelons.  I told him what they were, and got ready to move on but he kept pointing and grunting.  So I decided we'd bring one home.

I let him hold the watermelon while we finished our shopping.  He was very protective of it.

Just when I was beginning to think that my little man thought the watermelon was a ball and not food...he decided to lick it to see what it tasted like.

But of course when we brought it home and I cut it up and offered him a piece....

He didn't want it anymore.  Instead, he smashed it in his hair and on his pants.  Yum.

4.6.12

While I was changing little man's diaper the other day, he started giggling.  It took me a minute to realize why, and then I noticed he was rubbing his hands up and down his belly.  He was tickling himself!  I thought it was so funny that I took a video to share.

1.6.12

Little man does a lot of imitating these days.  The other day I gave him a kiss on the cheek and he put his hand over his mouth and repeated the "kissing noise" I'd made.  The rest of the day I tried to get him to repeat the gesture.  When he finally did, I caught it on video!
