Thanks for stopping by our little piece of cyber space! I love having a place to share little glimpses of our life with family and friends. Be sure to leave a comment to let me know you were here!

29.11.11

We went to a family caroling party the day after Thanksgiving, and during a few of the songs our little man was trying to sing along.  I tried catching it on video but he has a tendency to stop what he's doing when he sees the camera.  This time he went a little further...

(after I turned off the camera, he proceeded to eat it)

28.11.11

We had a fantastic Thanksgiving holiday with family.  Little man got to be a part of traditions that I remembered from my childhood including the Spanish Fork Winter's Light Parade.  He was fascinated by all the lights and was especially interested in the horses.  He grunted and talked to them and when he couldn't see them anymore, he began to whine.  It was really cute and I'm glad he enjoyed it despite the cold!

22.11.11

We'll be spending the rest of the week visiting family for the holiday.  I'll post about our trip next week.  Until then...

Happy Thanksgiving!

(You can tell our little man is ready to feast!)

Although it really washes out his face...

This shot also does a great job of pulling out those gorgeous blue eyes of his.

He'll be a heart throb one day (he is already working his magic on me!).

I have never been much of a decorator and since we knew we'd be moving within months of our little man's birth, I never really set up his room.  But now that we are settled into our new apartment, I've been working on making little man's room look extra nice.  I'm proud of my efforts, so I'm using this space to show off!

A friend gave me a cute bedroom set of farm things, so that became our theme.

My mom helped me turn the crib bumper (I have read that crib bumpers can be a suffocation danger) into a valence for the windows.

Isn't this the sweetest picture of Jesus with a little boy?  I love it.

I guess I should mention that the little man's room also doubles as the music room/office.  We have kind of a small apartment...

I mod podged scrapbook paper onto the light switch plate.  It was so easy and I felt like it added a little extra to the room.

I'm definitely not an artist, but by following the pictures of the animals from the set we got, I put together these cute wall hangings.

The best part?  It was relatively inexpensive!  All the frames are from the dollar store, I got the farm themed things for free (oops, I forgot to put up a picture of the super cute rug!), and even the desk was bought second hand for $6.00.  Little man's crib was the most expensive part.   And I really love the outcome.  Every time I walk into the room I smile.

We take a break from our regularly scheduled program to share this special message from the little man:

Oh nice.  And  now he's gnawing on the corner of the laptop.  Yum.  :)

15.11.11

Baby boy has become quite the little talker, and I love every minute of his adorable babble!  Here's a glimpse I shared on Facebook last week:

14.11.11

Yesterday we helped Grams celebrate her birthday!  Little man enjoyed "helping" her open her cards and presents.

Happy Birthday, Grams!

11.11.11

Since he cut his tooth, little man has begun making a new funny face.  Yesterday my husband caught that face on his camera.

This child cracks us up!

10.11.11

I just had to share my little man's reaction to the fish tank at my parents' house.  He's such a character!

9.11.11

Validation.  It seems to be a common theme lately.  I've read it on several blogs and heard it from several individuals.  I'm feeling it in my own life.  We all want to feel validated.  We want to know we matter, we are special, we have something to offer.

My dad introduced me to this video, and I want to share it with the world.

See if you can help someone feel validated today.  I think you will find that it helps you feel validated as well.  (Also, hubby and I are big believers in Karma).

8.11.11

He's definitely "Grandma Bait", I've watched him catch a few lately!

7.11.11

This weekend was busy for us!  Baby boy cut his first tooth.

He also:

Celebrated Guy Fawke's Night.

Rode a tram up to the top of a mountain (he wasn't too thrilled with the ride or the cold weather at the top--it was 8 degrees Fahrenheit!)

And played with the fishes at Grandpa and Nana's house.

What did you do this weekend?  Anything fun?

3.11.11

In memory of baby boy's swaddle me days...since it no longer fits and he has now moved on to blankets.

2.11.11

My baby boy is 6 months old today!  And look how much he has grown!

I love you so, so much, little man!
