I think little man and I are both glad that spring is in the air.

Usually I keep little man in the bathroom with me while I shower.  I give him a bunch of toys, make sure there's nothing he could get into that would be a problem, and hop in the shower.

Lately when I get done with my shower and pull back the curtain, I am greeted by scenes similar to this:

I need to remember to hide the toilet paper now!  Or I guess I could leave little man in his crib while I shower, but I like having him with me.

Saturday, little man and I had an exhausting, but fun-filled, day.

We went shopping.

We had hot dogs and soft pretzels for lunch.

We went to the museum and saw the dinosaur exhibit.

We went to the pet store and looked at all the cute puppies and kitties waiting to be adopted (it was hard to leave them all behind.)

And before the sun went down, we went for a walk!

It's been a while since my baby boy has gone down to bed as easily as he did that night.  :)

I hope everyone had a great Easter!

Little man and I had a pretty low-key celebration, since we'd already celebrated before hubby left. 

I attempted to make hot cross buns, which was a tradition in my family growing up.  Unfortunately I accidentally put in twice as much salt as I was supposed to.  Then they didn't rise.  So they were very salty, dense, hot cross buns. 

Little man still munched on them though.

After church (and a much needed nap) we had Easter presents and chocolate!

Then before bed we pulled out the scriptures and read all about Jesus Christ's crucifixion and resurrection.  I am trying to teach my son, even at this young age, that although Easter and Christmas are fun, there is a much deeper meaning.  And although I know he doesn't understand the words yet, I think he feels the spirit.  These little ones are much closer to God than we are.

Breakfast with the little man:

"Hey Mom, what's that I spy?  Is that a strawberry?"

"I see you have strawberries."

"Can I have a strawberry, please?  I really want one."

"Awesome, thanks Mom!"

"Mmmmm"

As you can tell, he not only enjoyed eating the strawberries....

but he also enjoyed playing with them.  Thank goodness for stain removers!

Little man has a cute winter hat to keep his head warm, but since summer will be here soon it was time to invest in a good summer hat.

When we tried it on at the store, my cute baby was thrilled.  When I brought it home and put it on him to take pictures for hubby....it was a different story.

He wasn't impressed with the strap under his chin (which I hadn't used in the store).  Luckily I did get one smile out of him.  Hopefully he will like it more as time goes on.

While traveling last week, we stopped for lunch at Subway.  Usually my little man is given a piece of bread to nibble on.  This time, however, I decided to branch out.  So I let him try a tomato

and a cucumber

My little guy has come to understand what it means when I hold a camera in front of him and call his name.  Nine times out of ten, he will stop what he's doing and give me a big grin.  Like this:

I'm apologizing once more for not being faithful in posting.  I did pretty well until Friday, but then we were traveling and now the hubby is gone again for work.  This time he's not just in a different state...he's in a different country!  That's a bigger adjustment than before.

Little man is continuing to grow and he is such a character!  Saturday and Sunday my church has a worldwide conference where we have the opportunity to listen to our leaders speak.  It's called General Conference and it stretches over 2 days and 8 hours.  That's a lot of time for little children, but my little guy found ways to keep happy.

He's so much fun...but also a little distracting!
